Update 22nd December 2011

The Turra Coo Loons Held on last night in an exiting finish to our Target League. They started the night 44 points ahead of The Turkeys in 2nd and 63 points ahead of the Doublers in 3rd, with these three teams the only ones in with a realistic chance of winning.

It was a nervy start for The Turra Coo Loons and the other two teams took advantage of that. At the half time mark The Turra Coo Loons still led, but only by 6 points from The Doublers who had jumped to 2nd and by 19 points from The Turkeys in 3rd.

The pressure then got to The Doublers in the second half and their final score of 194 points was only enough to secure 3rd spot for them.

The Turkeys on the other hand kept up the pressure and by the time the bonus round came along they had closed the gap to only 4 points. With only one ball each you fancied last years winners, The Turkeys, but it was The Turra Coo Loons, in their first year in the competition who triumphed. They scored 36 points compared to The Turkeys 4 to win overall by 36 points.

The Turkeys had the small consolation of being top scorers of the night on 208 points followed by The Turra Coo Loons on 200 points.

Good Guys were third best on the night with 199 points to finish in 6th place. The Unpredictable's held on to 4th place with 157 points while The Big Wallopers finished 5th with 183 points, with John Nicol picking up the shot of the year trophy.

The Divots were the biggest movers moving up 2 places to 7th with 190 points.

The Turkey Pluckers dropped a place to 8th with 170 points while Delaney's Donkeys also dropped a place to 9th with 163 points.

LMD were left a little isolated at the bottom after their score of 116 points left them 153 points behind the rest. Their consolation prize did however contain some good coaching tips, and they promise to come back bigger and better than ever next year.

Thanks to everyone who helped behind the scenes and to all the competitors who took part, and we look forward to seeing you all and any new faces for next years competition.
